A Sample Report for the First Round Hello everyone! My name is Wang Zhenlong. I was born in a village in the eastern part of Inner Mongolia in 1965. I went to college twice and got my Bachelor’s degree in 1994. The same year， I started to teach in Lu He High School. Luckily, I got the chance to visit Britain in the summer of 2000. Then the following year saw me working as a visiting teacher in Upstate New York, USA. I attained my Master of Art in English Teaching in 2006. I used to play table tennis, basketball and volleyball a lot, but I enjoy jogging now. And sometimes I may play pool balls or go swimming. Another interest of mine is collecting liquor bottles and taking pictures. This school year I am very glad to be your teacher of English.

holidays. I visited the city of Toronto in the summer, where my daughter is studying for a certificate（证书）。 One afternoon, she and I dropped in at a Pizza-Pizza for dinner. We walked a long distance that afternoon and got so tired that we forgot to take our bag hanging from the back of my chair. We didn’t remember about the bag until about 10:00 a.m. the next morning. Both of us hurried to the Pizza store and we were told to go there again because the man who kept my bag wouldn’t be there before 4:30 p.m. Around the appointed time, I myself went there for the bag. The serving girl at the front counter handed me the bag and asked me to check everything. I did and found the envelope containing a large sum of money missing. I told the people of the store that my money was gone. They asked if I was sure. I said that I was 100% sure of that. They asked me to leave a phone number and they gave me theirs. find the money, we would have to call the police. Interestingly enough, when we got to the store again, the same girl handed us the envelope quickly, saying that they called the man who had kept the money and he had returned it. We were glad to get the money back. We said thanks to the people in the store and we gave them $50 as a reward.

“值日报告在初二教学中的运用”的结题报告

一、课题的提出
我校是一所农村学校，我班大多数的学生来源于区县山区，他们和他们的家长对英语的学习只停留在记单词上，对这一学科不够重视。大多的学生都是在老师要求下学习而不是主动学习。初一上，我班95%的孩子对英语学科感兴趣，能够在听、说、读、写方面做的很好。每次单元检测考试都能取得平均分140分的好成绩，但孩子们每天都忙于各种听写，做各种练习，逐渐地有孩子对这一学科厌烦。初一下，随着教材内容难度增加，孩子们学习英语热情有所减退，对学习丧失了兴趣只是机械地完成作业或抄作业不喜欢英语课，语言表达能力减弱，听力练习中错误增多，任务型阅读答题不规范，作文的句子错误较多，成绩也跟着下降，听、说、读、写的能力自然下降。
针对学生存在的上述问题，笔者认为，要想改变学生在英语学习中的种种不足，怎样才能利用好课堂45分钟时间，更好地调动全体学生的积极性，提高学生的答题能力。英语是一种交际工具，要培养这种能力还是得出于实践，可以从两个方面入手：一是，教师精心备课，精心设计课堂活动形式，耐心地教；二是学生在课堂上专心致志地听，不感到厌烦，认真地练；二者缺一不可。而在这 “教”与“练”中，有一种方法，就是用好我们课前的3-5分钟，引入有趣话题，学生保持对英语学习的热情，通过每天的演讲结合问题的回答训练学生听、说、读、写的能力。笔者的体会是:值日报告就是一种好的课堂活动形式。
二、课题的目的
笔者希望通过本课题的研究，为学生们提供了一个语言学习习近平台，激发学生每天学英语的兴趣。教师对学生的赏识，增强学生的信心，培养了学生读，说英语的习惯。同时，希望通过本课题的研究训练孩子们的听力，培养孩子们专注地听，回答问题，抓关键信息的好习惯，也写作做好了准备。 三 、研究的方法和步骤
（一）研究方法
1、问卷调查法 通过问卷调查，发现问题，制定研究方向
2、行动研究法 制定课题研究方案，通过对学生值日报告实践情况进行分析，再研究调整重新进行实践。并将经验总结、记录，形成有价值的文字。
3、 经验总结法 在课题的实践研究中，发现问题，及时反思 解决问题总结经验
（二）研究步骤。
本课题的研究历时2学期，共近5个月。
按制定的阶段实施计划，有目的地对学生进行值日报告训练，形成中期成果资料积累。大致分为以下阶段：
第一阶段：研究准备阶段（2014.8.25-2014.9.10） 1. 调查研究发现问题，制定课题研究实施计划。 2．分析学生的现状，调查学生英语学习的兴趣。 3．及时与学生沟通，让学生做好思想上的准备。 第二阶段：实施操作阶段（2014.9—2015.5）
（一）研究一阶段（2014.9-2015.1） 1. 采用多种值日报告形式进行课前演讲：
1-2周一分钟回答；3-4周二分钟朗读；5-8周三分钟复述；
9-12周三分钟讲故事；13-16周四分钟对话或表演17-18周五分钟演讲（限定话题）
2、 评出学生分数，采用小组晋级开展小组之间的比赛 3. 观察学生的实施过程中的问题，针对问题点，及时纠正。
（二）研究二阶段（2015.2. -2015.4） 1.继续采用五分钟演讲
1-6周给出话题进行资料的准备及演讲；7-12周自选题目自由发挥 2. 评出学生分数，继续采用小组晋级开展小组之间的比赛。 3. 观察学生的实施过程中的问题，做好课题研究资料的整理。 第三阶段：总结阶段（2015.5 –2015.6） 1．归纳总结值日报告的形式。
2、 值日报告的尝试效果，收集整理资料。
3、 值日报告的问题与反思 寻找得失原因，并制定出相应的对策。 。 4．按实验方案进行总结，撰写课题研究报告、论文等。 四 、课题实施方法：
在研究过程中，笔者从以下三各方面入手： (一) 值日报告前的准备
为了鼓励学生在课堂上展示最自己最精彩的一面，值日报告前的准备是非常有必要的。第一阶段，笔者主要以一分钟回答问题，两分钟读课文对话为主，学生需要准备的内容为课本中的课文如: section A 1c,2d,3a,setionB 2b的理解，根据文中的内容回答问题。第二阶段，笔者主要以三分钟复述课文内容，讲故事为主，学生需要对讲述的内容列出提纲，小组成员相互修改，根据提纲进行复述或讲故事。第三阶段，笔者主要以四分钟对话或表演，学生可以邀请同学参与。这一阶段学生准备好内容后小组间相互修改后再上台展示。第四阶段，笔者主要以五分钟限定话题演讲，这一阶段相对来说较难，可以先值日报告同学写好内容由小组成员相互修改后再交教师指导。
（二）值日报告中的问题设置及回答
在值日报告中，为了培养学生专注听的习惯，笔者认为听前给出问题是有必要的。学生可以根据问题，有目的地去听关键信息，学会做笔记。问题的设置，通常由教师来把握，题型与中考任务型阅读问题一致，一个疑问句三个特问句，（一题1分）。在回答问题时，笔者认为，可以有多种形式的抽问加分，以提高回答问题学生的积极性如：转盘，按钮，抢答，砸金蛋等等，所得分数计入小组得分。
（三）值日报告后的评价及反思
完成报告后，笔者认为应该及时对学生进行全面的评价，评价的原则主要以鼓励为主。评价的方面主要为文章的内容-选题、句型选用、错误点（3分）；演讲者的表现-声音洪亮，有肢体语言（2分）共5分。根据演讲者现场的表现，教师给出演讲者个人得分，所得分数计入小组得分，小组积分也采用晋级制，鼓励学生之间，组与组之间的竞争。课后，针对值日学生的演讲中存在的问题及时反思，以便于调整下一阶段的方案。
五、课题的成果分析
通过上下两个学期的值日报告训练，大多数学生都能完成简单的正确写作，做好每天的材料准备，其中还有部分学生能写出质量较高的文章，成为全班同学学习的范文。学生们已经习惯了有值日报告的课堂，期盼着每天的特色节目，对英语课堂重新找回了兴趣。值日报告的准备让学生学会了去收集，去修改自己的材料，在训练中有部分学生的写作质量有所提高！而对于听的同学而言，学生学会了在听的过程中记下关键词规范回答一般疑问句和特殊疑问句。通过由易到难的值日报告，循序渐进地培养学生的语言表达能力，增强了学生的自信心，尤其是后进生在课堂上说英语。同时，小组之间的团结协作，也培养学生的团队意识。
六、存在的问题与今后努力的方向 通过课题的实践研究发现，值日报告形式虽然多样，可是部分基础较好的孩子们不太喜欢朗读和复述课文，觉得太简单了孩子们有些不耐烦。大多数孩子们喜欢故事，表演与演讲，尤其是表演。可是，由于表演热情高，花费时间太多，个别小组分工不明确，没有时间观念。 一部分孩子没有养成扩充词汇的好习惯。部分孩子不重视当作完成任务准备不充分
经过一学年的教学实践，我发现值日报告还可以有改进的空间：
第一． 结合时事，或学生们都感兴趣的话题进行演讲，严格控制时间，让孩子们养成好的习惯。例如：正在播出的电视剧-花千骨，孩子们都喜欢，可以选择他们最爱的电视剧人物进行描述。
第二． 对态度不端正的孩子进行正面的引导。在课堂中适当加入新的词汇，鼓励孩子们边听边记。可以安排值日同学课前把新词汇或好的句式写在黑板上供大家资源共享。
第三． 扩大形式，鼓励孩子们把他们特色的才艺展示，让孩子们总是能期盼每天的特色节目 例如：魔术，英语歌曲等。
第四． 在今后的教学中，还可以适当补充一学生活中的常用语。例如：各种节日的表达及习俗；生日祝福语；卡片的写法等，鼓励学生主动地收集资料完成值日报告展示给大家。
总之，值日报告这一课堂形式，它不仅能够让学生对英语课堂产生兴趣，保持对每节英语课的期盼，而且还能培养学生小组团结协作精神，发挥学生的创造性思维。每天短短的几分钟的表演，有助于学生语言的表达，更利于学生听，说，读，写技能得培养，以及课外知识的扩充。这一形式值得坚持下去，因为它能让“金子”发光。
